Abstract: Liquid-loading is a serious problem when formation energy is in short supply. And the process of Liquid-loading is complex two-phase flow process. For understanding this process better, based on the pipe flow theory and mass conservation, a quantitative model have been proposed to predict the process of liquid-loading.in this model, the head pressure influence the liquid loading, if the head pressure became large and the flow rate is smaller than the critical rate, the liquid loading begins and one part of water produced from formation have been carried to surface by the gas ;one part accumulated in the well and forms the water-column; one part re-injected into the formation. What’s more, the gas rate and water rate become small with the increase of the water- column, and if the water produced from formation is equal to the sum of the surface water and re-injected water, the water-column height stabilized and a metastable rate could be gained. Finally, a case show that the gas rate
